Weatherford, OKC, and Clinton

August 10–14, 2026

Astronaut Thomas Stafford came from Weatherford. I have enjoyed several visits to the Stafford Air and Space Museum over the years. You can see a few pictures from one of my past visits here. I took a few more this trip. The main new addition since my previous visit was a playgound area. It was too hot to go see it.

I had seen the stealth bomber on my previous trip, but I wanted another picutre.

We went into Oklahoma City and visited the First Americans Museum. I enjoyed the exhibits, but took pictures of just the grand entrance.

We stayed too late to visit anything else there. We did drive by the railroad museum and the state capitol.

We still had daylight left, so we drove up to Guthrie, which had been the territorial capital, and took a driving tour.
