Weatherford, OKC, and Clinton
August 10–14, 2026
We headed to Weatherford, and I visited two museums there. New to me was the Heartland of America Museum. I really enjoyed seeing the collection of artifacts even from the past. They were fixing up exhitis and moving around things, so parts of the museum will look rather junky in my pictures. It will shortly be better organized.

To the grounds of the museum they have moved a school and a classic diner.

On a previous visit we had arrived at Alabaster Caverns State Park too late to visit. So this time we got an earlier start. It was much cooler in the cave, of course, so that was a welcome relief. I didn't take any pictures in the caves, but I did get a shot of Max in the visitors’ center.
