After the war, they started a family and built a house, like so many young couples. Their son Stephen was born, and a few months later they moved to their new home on Kings Road, where they still live.

Paul was not through with military service, however. During the Korean War he received a letter telling him he was being called back into the Marines. Fortunately, he never left North Carolina this time. At Camp LeJeune he trained troops heading for Korea. He was able to come home about every other weekend.

Here's a better shot of the 1941 Buick. At the time it belonged to Ruth's father. Later, Paul drove it for many years.
