Merry Christmas from Steve Lee

Holiday Music

In 1989 I started a custom of making tapes of my often offbeat arrangements of Christmas music and sending them out as my Christmas card. At the time I was using a Mac Plus for sequencing and a limited array of synthesizer modules to produce the sound. People seemed to enjoy them so I continued making them though 1992. Later I sent out a "best of" CD and then a limited edition "Ghosts of Chrismas Past" reissue of the 1989 tape on CD. In 2001 I made a new CD called "2001 A Snow Odyssey," with cover and labels based on the above painting by Claude Monet. It consisted of eight settings of "Jingle Bells" in a variety of styles.
