Casa Loma

September 12, 2014

After the boat tour I walked up to the subway station and headed for Casa Loma. I took my last pictures of the day there. Following that visit I wandered around on foot and by subway and streetcar. I visited the Ontario Gallery of Art for a while after a visit to the nearby Baskin-Robbins.

From the subway station, it was a walk of a few blocks up a gentle hill followed by a climb of ninety or more steps to Casa Loma, the house on the hill.

From the balcony on the back of the house you can see the garden terrace below all the way to downtown. The University of Toronto area is in between.

The Pellats had to sell off most of their treasures in 1924, so just about everything you new see inside was acquired over the years for display purposes.
